Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best recognized for her roles performed as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She graduated with the B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been active in films theater as well as television. Her career began acting in the theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and numerous awards and nominations, among them her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear in the role of Ariel on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. Her stage credits include the Broadway production of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her appearances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. For her work on television she's been recognized for her part in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
