Antonia Lofaso

Antonia's Lofaso invites you to look into her soul through her cuisine. Her curiosity grew as she moved from the Long Island suburbs to explore the diverse culture of Los Angeles. Cavatelli and Carnitas have the ability to coexist in harmony in the menus, a belief which has evolved over time. With every dish she serves, she has a vision which is distinctive and expresses nostalgia for the historical. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso established in 2013 was well-received due to the fact that it was influenced by her Italian heritage. Lofaso's take on old-school Italian has been called one of Los Angeles' most compelling Italian restaurants. Lofaso is consistently praised by Scopa's patrons because the food is authentic and deliciously satisfying. Lofaso learned from culinary giants with sophisticated cooking techniques. She didn't hesitate to take extreme chances to honor her intuition. She rose quickly through the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago and was able to transform various high-profile kitchens of Los Angeles while working closely with a variety of famous celebrities. Lofaso launched Black Market Liquor Bar with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi in Studio City, California. Lofaso found her place within Black Market, and through the alliances she made. Lofaso's creative freedom will be facilitated through this collaboration. Black Market has no one direction in mind and it is that way. It could start with dill chips, then shishitos peppers. Next comes a Korean wing and finally a meatball course. Antonia is the linchpin in this variety. Lofaso evaluated her career success in part by her ability to understand and remain authentic to her audiences. The memorable appearances in Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars showed her talents outside of the cooking area. Her talents are evident in her recurring roles in judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge as well as on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child as well as ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso has teamed up with Penguin at the end of 2012 in order to launch The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Delicious home-cooked Meals. This book also tells her story about her struggles studying at an institution called the French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all her success is due to her passion of cooking and she is in a position to stay in the middle of this industry by focusing on her kitchen. Chefletics revolutionizes the look of Chefwear with its emphasis on design and function. Lofaso's main concern is staying in line with her mission. To achieve this goal she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This will provide clients with an incredibly personal experience.
