Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. Her debut on screen was with her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. French, German English and Romanian are the most spoken languages. Her father, a professor of theater at one of Romania's most prestigious drama schools, is also theater teacher. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award in The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as a European Shooting Star. She taught in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu for 4 years. bAnamaria Marina is a Romanian actor who was born at Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. Aside from her brilliant performance in the film, Anamaria Marinca will be remembered for her role in the Romanian artist-directed film 4 Months 3, Weeks 2, Days. The film was awarded several awards, including an award called the European Film Award Best Actress by British Film Critics. She starred in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 zile" (4 Months Three Weeks and Two Days) that won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also earned two other awards, the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) as well as the Cinema Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her career. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca played roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well the Romanian film Boogie. Later she was the role of Irma's German Aunt in Fury that was released in the year 2014.
