Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980 and is an American singer and actress. Parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Bell was raised and from Huntington Woods Michigan. She is of Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's passion for acting was recognized at an early age. In 1992 she won her first acting role in the auditions for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother prior to the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model on advertisements on television and newspapers. Now, Bell also begins individual acting classes. Bell had a minor role without credit in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music as well as drama. She was cast as Dorothy in the school production in The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student of in musical theater at the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell completed her studies in 2001, decided to leave her studies at the university to play the role Becky in Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang, but the sequence in which she played the role was removed. This meant that the credit sequence is all that exists. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell made an appearance in the Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
