Holden was born in Portsmouth, Hampshireand spent much of her youth in Bishop's Waltham, and aged nine, she was a member of the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden also has TV credits, including three series that she co-starred with Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham on the show Kiss Me Kate, three episodes of ITV's The Grimleys and Celeb With Harry Enfield, and a special Agatha Christie episode "4.50 from Paddington" for Boxing Day. He co-starred alongside Bill Nighy (and Tom Courtenay) in Ready When You Are Mr. McGill, Jack Rosenthal's comedy drama. Along with Alesha Dixon David Walliams and Simon Cowell, Holden is a judge on Britain's Got Talent. She was the judge on Britain's Got Talent from 2006 to 2006.
